Just when everyone was beginning to think that if Alexis Sanchez was available to face Tottenham at the White Hart Lane, perhaps Harry Kane’s influence on the game would not have been so pronounced. The Gunners were forced to surrender their early lead and even had to leave the Lane without as much as a consolation point thanks to the brilliance of the 21-year-old Kane.
Arsene Wenger is however pleased to announce that the highly rated Chilean will be available to lift the Gunners from the dregs when they face Leicester City on Tuesday. The former Barcelona man has been out of this world for the Emirate based outfit scoring 12 goals and 7 assists to keep the club in contention for a possible top four spot this season. However, the defeat at the White hart Lane appear to have dented their hopes of an European place but the possibility of having their talismanic Sanchez back in the fold mid-week will be enough to lift the dwindling spirits of the Gunners.
While speaking ahead of the crucial match, the Arsenal boss was enthusiastic when he announced that he will have the luxury of deploying the classy forward when they face Leicester City. The French tactician noted that Arsenal were lucky not to have had any more injuries from their loss in last weekend’s match. The Chilean was not missed at all when the Gunners hammered down on Aston Villa in a 5-0 runoff but were left ruing his absence when they could barely keep up with the pace of a Harry Kane inspired Tottenham.
Arsenal had an impressive run of 5 unbeaten matches before their crash on Saturday and with most of the players back in form, they might want to try and make a move on the highly coveted top four spot.
